Interim Chief Chris KearyWelcome to the website of the KU Public Safety Office.   The men and women of this department are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for the thousands of students, faculty, staff and visitors that are on campus each day.   But we recognize that we cannot do that alone - all members of the KU community should share in that commitment.

This website contains practical information that can protect you from becoming a victim of a crime, help you recognize and report suspicious activity, and guide you in the event of an emergency.  Please take some time to browse the website.

If you have any ideas or suggestions to improve safety or security on campus, please feel free to stop by our office at Bob Billings and Crestline, or share them with us via e-mail at kupso@ku.edu.

Thank you for visiting our website and Rock Chalk!

Chris J. Keary

Chief of Police
